USA to Remember September 11 with Plaque Dedication Ceremony

The Student Government Association at the University of South Alabama will remember the victims of Sept. 11 with the dedication of a plaque at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, on USA’s campus.

The bronze plaque will be placed inside the flag memorial, which is located south of the USA Student Center.

The dedication service, which is expected to last about 15 minutes, will include the lowering of the U.S. flag to half mast, the playing of “Taps” and a silent moment to remember the people who died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Traffic into and outside the area surrounding the flag memorial will be blocked by USA Campus Security and Parking shortly before and during the ceremony.
