For the first time in history, the University of South Alabama National Alumni Association has elected an out-of-state president. Andy Denny, class of 1972 and 1973, of Seymour, Ind., will lead the board for the 2007-2008 year.
Other officers for the 2007-2008 term are: Vice President Tommy Zoghby, ‘76; Secretary Carol Mann, ‘87; and, Immediate Past President Diana Laier, ’84. Carol Kittrell, ’83, is executive director. Officers serve one-year terms.
The Alumni Association is governed by a 22-member board of directors with three-year rotating terms. Newly elected directors are: Tom Corcoran, ’70, Fort Dodge, Kan.; Penny Hatcher ’02, MA ’06, Mobile; Dwight Jennings, ’71, Huntsville; and, Hugh Keating, ’74, Gulfport, Miss.
Members serving current terms are: Keith Ammons, ’95; Gigi Armbrecht, ’88; Alexis Atkins, ’97; Bob Hardin, ’73; Patricia Mark, ’82; Michael Mitchell, ’94;
Kit Outlaw, ’87; Allen Pearl, ’73; John Peek, ’87; David Rauch, ’71; and, Wayne Sirmon, ’76.
The USA National Alumni Association, founded in 1974, serves the University’s 56,000 graduates.
