Are you a student, faculty member or staff person who dreams of running his or her own company? Do you have a game-changing idea, but lack the seed money to get it off the ground? USA is pleased to announce its participation in a statewide business plan competition initiated to bring together entrepreneurs, educators and the business community. 

Alabama Launchpad is a not-for-profit organization formed to support entrepreneurial efforts throughout the State. Through its Alabama Launchpad Business Plan Competition 2008-2009, Alabama Launchpad encourages faculty members, students, employees and researchers working at or attending Alabama universities to act on their talents, ideas and energy to produce tomorrow's leading firms. This program is designed to provide unique opportunities to obtain start-up capital, receive expert guidance and establish working relationships with Alabama's business, academic and investment capital communities. Prize money ranges from $25,000 to a first-place prize of $100,000.
