Make an informed decision on November 4! Hear from the Baldwin County Republican
party representative, Dr. Barry Booth and Democratic party representative Dr. James Sears on
Sunday, October 12 at 3 p.m. Dr. Booth and Dr. Sears will give the platform for each
presidential candidate on a number of issues facing our country. The topics being discussed are
the economy, health care, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, education, illegal immigration and
national security.
Barry Booth, DMD, a native of Charleston, West Virginia, graduated from Auburn
University in 1962 and went on to complete his graduate studies at the University of Alabama,
School of Dentistry. Following graduation, he was promoted to lieutenant in the U.S. Navy,
assigned to the United States Marines and served in I Corps Vietnam during 1966-1967.
Finishing his tour of duty with the military, Dr. Booth returned to Baldwin County where he has
enjoyed his dental practice in Spanish Fort for over 40 years.
Dr. James Sears received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida,
master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Florida and a law degree from the
University of Alabama. Dr. Sears has been a classroom teacher, public school principal,
university professor, and for the last twenty years, a private attorney. His law practice is
focused on assisting individuals who have disabilities to insure they receive appropriate
services.
