The University of South Alabama National Alumni Association will hold a USA Jag 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 8 a.m. Benefiting the USA Alumni Scholarship Fund, the second annual run will be held during USA’s 2009 Spirit Week. The certified 5K race will start and finish on Cleverdon Street, near the Intramural Fields on USA’s main Campus.

Registration forms must be submitted in person to McCoy’s Outdoor by noon on Thursday, Jan. 29, or online (www.Active.com) by midnight Jan. 28. The cost for pre-registration is $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. The day of race cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Race day registration will be held at the Intramural Field Pavilion from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.

Awards will be presented to top male and female Overall; Masters; and Grandmasters. The top three male and female in age groups : 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99 will also receive awards. There will be a post-race party with food and beverages provided. Registration by Jan. 23 guarantees a shirt on race day.
