The second-annual “GO” for Gynecologic Oncology 5K Run/Walk and One Mile Fun Run to benefit gynecologic cancer research at the University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Institute will be held on Sept. 19 at 8 a.m. at the USA Campus Intramural Pavilion.

The family-friendly event will include prizes, music, children’s activities and free food. The race is co-sponsored by Port City Pacers.

Last year, the inaugural “GO” Run drew 600 people, including 500 runners, and raised $11,400 for the USAMCI.
