Local businessman and philanthropist Abraham Mitchell presented laptops and printers to a new group of Mitchell Scholars, outstanding freshman in the Mitchell College of Business who have been awarded the University’s most prestigious scholarship. The Mitchell Scholars receive full tuition, room-and-board and a book stipend, in addition to the laptops and printers. The scholarship is valued at $40,000 over four years. Abraham Mitchell started the endowed scholarship program 10 years ago. To date, it has offered $1.5 million in scholarships for 67 students, who have kept a collective grade point average of 3.8.
