The University of South Alabama Mitchell College of Business Mitchell master of business administration degree program has been recognized by BusinessWeek in its issue profiling the Best U.S. Business Schools. The Mitchell College of Business MBA was ranked tenth in BusinessWeek’s list of Best Part-Time MBA programs in the South in 2009. The Mitchell MBA program also made BusinessWeek’s list of Best Part-Time MBA programs in 2007, when the list was last published.
BusinessWeek arrived at its list of top MBA programs after reviewing each program’s selectivity in admissions, quality of incoming students, program completion rate, and quality of MBA faculty. Rankings were also determined by the results of surveys administered by BusinessWeek that looked at graduates’ perceptions of the quality of the curriculum, fellow classmates, and college faculty. The percentage of graduates receiving salary increases after completing the program was also a factor in determining the rankings. Forty-four percent of 2009 Mitchell MBA graduates reported that they had received pay raises after completing the program. The full rankings and detailed survey results can be found at www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings under the tab for part-time programs.
