The University of South Alabama School of Computer and Information Sciences recently hosted Computing Day for 125 high school students and their teachers. Sponsored by Xante Corporation, the event in the Student Center ballroom welcomed students from area high schools including Baker, Mary G. Montgomery, Foley, Central Christian and Theodore.
The students listened to speakers from local businesses including, Xante, Morrison Management Specialties, Northrop/Grumman, CTS, SSI Group, TeleVox, Mentor Graphics, JRC Technology Group and Software Technology Inc. Several student groups from CIS also gave presentations to the students about current projects.
