The University of South Alabama will kick off a new academic year with a host of back-to-school activities, including JagFest 2010 and the second season of South Alabama Jaguar football and marching band.
Upcoming USA back-to-school events include:
- Aug. 21, JagFest (activities all day). Open to new students and their parents, as well as other members of the University community. It is hosted by the offices of the President
and New Student Orientation.
JagFest Activities:
-- Move-In Day - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Epsilon, Delta and Beta Gamma residence halls
-- Campus Fair - 5-6:30 p.m., Mitchell Center
-- President’s Dinner Buffet - 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., Mitchell Center
- Aug. 28, Jaguar Football Fan Day – Open to the community.
-- Jaguar football scrimmage - 8:30-10 a.m., Ladd-Peebles Stadium
-- Fan meet-and-greet with team and coaches - 10-11 a.m., Ladd-Peebles Stadium
- Sept. 2, USA National Alumni Association Annual Meeting – All alumni are invited.
-- Cocktails - 5:30 p.m., Mitchell Center, John Counts Room
-- Meeting - 6 p.m., John Counts Room
- Sept. 2, Jaguar Football Pep Rally – Open to the community.
-- Pep Rally – 7:30 p.m., north side Mitchell Center steps, near jaguar statue
- Sept. 4, Jaguar Football First 2010 Season Game
-- Tailgating - 10 a.m., Ladd-Peebles Stadium
-- Jag Prowl - 1:40 p.m., south side of Ladd-Peebles Stadium
-- South Alabama Jaguar Marching Band pre-game show – 3:50 p.m.
-- Jaguars vs. Pikeville College - 4 p.m., Ladd-Peebles Stadium
