Lisa Kavanagh

University of South Alabama Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations Dr. Joseph Busta has appointed Lisa Kavanagh as interim director of Alumni Relations effective April 1.

She replaces Carol Kittrell, who retired in March, after 29 years of service with the University.

Kavanagh’s career at the University of South Alabama began in the Office of Alumni Relations in 1988 as an alumni specialist and then as an assistant director. In 2003, she was promoted to associate director.

In 1985, Kavanagh received a bachelor of science degree in business from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master’s in public administration from the University of South Alabama in 2001.

Kavanagh is looking forward to continuing to serve the University and her fellow alumni during this transition time and being a part of the next chapter of the University of South Alabama and the National Alumni Association.
