Joseph Busta

University of South Alabama Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations Dr. Joseph F. Busta Jr., has been elected chair of the United Way of Southwest Alabama Board of Directors.

He has been a member of the board for 5 years, serving as vice chair last year.

“I am pleased and honored to serve Southwest Alabama’s leading volunteer organization and to represent the University of South Alabama when executing the duties of this position with United Way and its partner agencies,” Busta said.

The United Way has been serving the community for 84 years, tackling issues by partnering with 58 agencies in Mobile, Clarke, and Washington counties. Approximately 700 companies and organizations run an employee-giving campaign to support more than 125,000 individuals each year.
