Airbus North America Engineering Site Director David Trent recently visited the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business as part of the RBC Bank Distinguished Lecture Series.
Trent’s lecture was part of the new RBC Distinguished Lectureship Series at the USA Mitchell College of Business, the first lectureship at the Mitchell College of Business. The bank covers the costs of two annual lectures on banking or a related field.
Trent oversees engineering and program management of cabin and cargo development programs on all Airbus products. Since beginning his aerospace career in 1979, he has served in engineering management positions with Learjet, Bombardier, Gulfstream and Hiller, Inc.
He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration from California State University - Fullerton.
Since arriving in Mobile in December 2006, Trent has volunteered his leadership with several community organizations. He was the 2010 Chairman of the Board of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the executive board of the Exploreum Science Center, the Industrial Advisory Board for USA’s College of Engineering, as a board member for the American Red Cross Gulf Coast Chapter, and as secretary for the Alabama Aerospace Industries Association. |
