The University of South Alabama’s Our Neighborhood Healthcare Clinic will host a lecture, “The Power to End Stroke,” presented by Amy Beasley,  nursing project coordinator at the USA Medical Center, on Thursday, May 19, from noon-1:30 p.m. in the USA Medical Center third-floor conference room.  The free event is open to the public and includes a light lunch. 

The lecture is part of Our Neighborhood Healthcare Clinic’s new Learning Collaborative, a community lunch-and-learn program that features different topics each month on health and wellness. 

The Learning Collaborative is one of several programs offered through Our Neighborhood Healthcare Clinic, a fast-track urgent care clinic that provides after-hours treatment.  The clinic also has a diabetes support group and weight loss and nutrition programs.

Stroke survivors and their caregivers are invited to join the community stroke support group, which meets on the third Tuesday of each month in the USA Medical Center tenth-floor dining room.
