The University of South Alabama Mitchell College of Business recently hosted the Alabama Banking School on main campus. The three-year summer program offers bankers' with at least three years of experience lessons to assume the next level of leadership in their institutions. The program has been held at USA since it began in 1976. This year, 135 bankers from across the state attended the school and 35 graduated.

Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey, a graduate of the first class, gave the commencement address at the graduation exercises, which were held at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. Before graduation, she met with leaders from the Mitchell College of Business for a luncheon at the Faculty Club.
