The University of South Alabama National Alumni Association will honor two distinguished alumni and three service leaders at its annual awards gala on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Mitchell Center. The event recognizes the achievements and contributions of alumni and advocates for USA.
This year’s recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award are Joseph Lawrence “Larry” Lilley, Jr., 1992, president and chief executive of CTS Inc., and Robert McGhee, 1993, treasurer of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
A Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Holle Briskman, 1969, community leader and volunteer; Tommy Zoghby, 1976 and MBA 1986, chief financial officer of Volkert Inc.; and, retired USA Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services Dr. J. David Stearns.
“These award winners have made a positive impact on the University of South Alabama, our community, our region and our nation,” said Karen Edwards, director of USA Alumni Relations. “We are excited for the opportunity to acknowledge and honor their achievements and contributions.”
