USA to Celebrate Homecoming
 2013 and Community Invited to Attend

The University of South Alabama will celebrate Homecoming 2013 with the theme, �We are Jag Nation,� Oct. 14-19.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and surrounding communities are invited to enjoy a host of activities including athletic and alumni events, a pep rally, and the Fun Fest Carnival Night. The Wall of Honor Unveiling Ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza on the USA campus.

The Wall of Honor Unveiling Ceremony will recognize new life time members of the USA National Alumni Association with names unveiled on the walls throughout the Alumni Plaza. The Walls of Honor also feature names of individuals who contributed to the betterment of USA throughout its history, including USA presidents, trustees, student government association presidents and USA National Alumni Association presidents.

Jaguar Production is sponsoring the �Fun Fest Carnival Night� to be held from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the USA Mitchell Center. This event will include food, games and entertainment. For more information, call Jaguar Productions at (251) 460-7144.

Other USA Homecoming events will include a parade featuring the USA Jaguar Marching Band to begin on USA South Drive at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, or immediately following the Wall of Honor Unveiling Ceremony. USA graduate Mike Odair, Class of 2004 will serve as �grand marshal� of the parade. Odair is the executive producer of Gurney Productions, which produces A&E�s popular reality series, �Duck Dynasty.�

USA College Reunions will be held earlier that day from 4-5:30 p.m. For more alumni event information, visit www.southalabama.edu/alumni/homecoming.shtml. The USA National Pan-Hellenic Council Inc. will also sponsor its annual NPHC Step Show at 9 p.m. at the USA Mitchell Center Arena.

Homecoming Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, and will feature the USA Jaguar football game against Kent State to kick off at 2 p.m. The game will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The Pre-Game Tailgating will include the Spirit Stick competition at 8 a.m. For ticket and game day information, visit www.usajaguars.com.
