USA to Host an Exciting
Performance by World-Renowned Step Afrika

The intense, high energy performing arts group Step Afrika will once again perform at the University of South Alabama on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. at the USA Mitchell Center.
The event is open to the public, and admission is free. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Step Afrika is the first professional company in the world dedicated to the tradition of stepping. Since its founding in December 1994, the company is celebrated worldwide and has graced some of America’s most prestigious stages from the White House to the Lincoln Center in New York City. They have also performed in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean.

Based in Washington, D.C., Step Afrika is committed to enhancing the lives of youth through programs designed to help them make positive choices. The critically–acclaimed performance group currently has five arts education programs including: Stepping with Step Afrika; Step Up to College; Forward Steps; Summer Steps with Step Afrika; and the Step Afrika Scholars Program.

The event is sponsored by USA’s Jaguar Productions and the African-American Student Association. Step Afrika performed at USA in 2005.
