National Walk @ Lunch Day For the Health of it

TURN A WORKING LUNCH INTO A WALKING LUNCH! JOIN US ON APRIL 18TH!

Walking is one of the easiest and most effective forms of exercise, but it can be hard to find time to enjoy it. That’s why the Employee Wellness Initiatives Committee at the University of South Alabama is inviting faculty, staff and administrators to walk for National Walk @ Lunch Day on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. National Walk @ Lunch Day was designed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield “to encourage people of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles to make walking a healthy habit for life”.

Participation is easy!

  • Bring your comfortable footwear to work
  • Take time during your regular lunch break as permitted to walk at your work location
  • Walk alone at your own pace* or with your co-workers
