I'm excited to be joining Student Academic Success & Retention and Housing and Residence Life as the inaugural participant in the University of South Alabama’s “Faculty-in-Residence” program. The 2011/2012 school year will be my fifth year as an Assistant Professor of English at South. As a member of the English department, I teach a variety of courses in 20th- and 21st-century literature. My research focuses mainly on postmodern and contemporary American fiction, with an emphasis on sound culture studies.
