Bio: My name is James “The Rock Johnson” Denny and I am a junior at South. I am known as the strongest man ALIVE. My strength was followed me from Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania where my mommy bakes me cookies. Being 17 hours away from home I have also learned the importance of working hard and exceling in school. Bio: My name is Natalie Carlisle and I will begin my third year this fall at the University of South Alabama. I am majoring in Biomedical Sciences, with my ultimate goal of becoming a doctor after graduating from USA’s College of Medicine. Bio: I was born in El Paso, Texas, but my family is from Louisiana. I have one older brother who graduated from South Alabama about three years ago. I am a Biomedical Sciences major on the Pre-Med track. I want to attend Medical School at Tulane University in New Orleans. I especially enjoy travelling and sight-seeing.

Bio: I'm Kristi, born and raised in Mobile, Ala. I recently returned from study abroad in France! I love this city, and am a die hard Jags fan! As a double major in public relations and french, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in international business from the University of Pennsylvania. Learning a second language has opened so many doors for me already, and I'm excited to see what comes next!

Jacob Langham
Major: Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Bio: I'm a senior in Chemical Engineering, and hope to eventually gain a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering. I have already attained a degree in Psychology from South Alabama. Before becoming a Jag I was homeschooled (Valedictorian? Check.). I was born and raised in Alabama, though I split time between Mobile and Elba (northern Alabama, near Enterprise). If I’m not in class/studying for class/doing research/doing literature reviews for research/ trying to find extra time in the day, you can find me in the gym or reading. I try to read as much as possible to keep myself from focusing on just chemistry and math.

Bio: Hello! My name is Emily Jerkins, and I am from Bay Minette, AL. Currently, I am majoring in Finance with a concentration in Economics. Since the beginning of my Sophomore year, I have worked as a student assistant at Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment. I was enrolled in the America and the World Learning Community and found it to be rewarding in a multitude of ways. Through my experience, I found that not only does a learning community encourage academic success, but it also creates a team-based learning environment that fosters friendships and presents students with opportunities to succeed.
