of Science Program |

Students graduating from the certificate program and registered
Radiographers who are graduates of other college-based Radiography
programs may continue their education and complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Radiologic Sciences. Radiographers who already possess a B.S. degree may elect to
complete only the modality-specific curriculum. Following the completion of the bachelor's degree and
appropriate clinical experience, students may seek advanced certification through
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry of Diagnostic
Medical Sonographers. The baccalaureate program is designed to provide radiographers
with an opportunity to expand their career opportunities in
radiology management, radiologic science education, advanced imaging specialties,
health physics, and equipment sales and applications.
The curriculum leading to a B.S. in Radiologic Sciences generally requires three
to four (3-4) semesters to complete and is comprised of both didactic and
clinical courses. The program begins in the Fall Semester each year, and
students must complete between 52 and 74 semester hours to satisfy the degree
requirements. Six areas of specialty imaging courses are offered, and the total
number of hours required varies based on the area of specialization the student
wishes to pursue.
All students are required to complete 32 semester hours of general study courses
for completion of the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences. Non-radiography
courses do not have to be completed in the order outlined on the model curriculum.
No more than 64 semester hours of transfer credit will be accepted from junior colleges.
