  Biographical Information

I was born in Kansas but grew up in Missouri. My mother, Diane McDermott, was a counseling psychologist at the University of Kansas for 35 years, so I've been attending APA since I was five years old. I've been interested in men's issues since 2005, when I first started working with male clients, and I find that work extremely rewarding. I deeply enjoy research, clinical work, and teaching and, in my free time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and writing music.
