Dr. Sylvester joined the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering as Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Fall of 1997 after 20 years of academic administration in three different universities.  He teaches a broad array of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as directing the research of numerous masters students.  Additional details concerning Dr. Sylvester’s administrative career and his teaching and research activities may be found elsewhere in this website.
