About Mini Baja

        The Mini-Baja are cross-country vehicles designed by a group of mostly mechanical engineering students. These students have the task to finance, design, manufacture, assembly and test all the parts of the vehicle. The ultimate goal is to build a vehicle that will take part in the Great Mini-Baja race. 

        We are to design the vehicle as though we are trying to market it to the public, so we must take in to consideration things such as accessibility to the engine and drive train in case of maintenance and repair, safety of the operator, interchangeability of like parts to reduce manufacturing costs and reduce the costs of replacement parts, which can be passed on to the consumer.

        In order to participate in the competition the vehicle has to pass the strict standards imposed by the Society of Automotive Engineers.
