Students from all disciplines are invited to join and become active in the student chapter.  Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are welcome.

WHY JOIN NSPE?

There are two important components to successful engineering:  technical expertise and professional skills.  While the power that drives an engineer's successful design lies in technical expertise, the success of the engineering career often depends on professional development in areas of management, leadership training, communication, and business.  Successful engineers will need to achieve balanced excellence in both their technical and professional development.  Society membership will help achieve this balance for engineers having membership in their discipline's technical society, along with membership in NSPE.

HOW TO JOIN NSPE

Go on line at www.nspe.org under student information to enroll on line or download an application form or pick up a form from Dr. Donovan (EGLB 116). The cost of student membership is $20 per year.  The College of Engineering will reimburse one half of the first year membership fee.

STUDENT SECTION MEETING

Come to Dr. Donovan’s office, EGLB 116, to register your membership with the student chapter.  You may also email Dr Donovan at fdonovan@jaguar1.usouthal.edu

We would like to hold a meeting around the middle of September to elect officers and begin planning the year’s activities.
