Responsible for the following classes on the semester system: Atmospheric Processes and Patterns, Landscape Processes and Patterns, Map Interpretation and Design, Environmental Earth Science, Alabama Geography, Biogeography, Field Work in Geography. On the quarter system: Introduction to Physical Geography, Map and Aerial Photo Interpretation, Environmental Geography, Alabama Geography, Biogeography, Field Work in Geography, and Coastal Geomorphology. Worked with Dr. Dwight Brown and Dr. Margaret Davis to develop procedures for processing lake sediment cores for plant opal phytoliths, to establish a phytolith reference collection of dominant taxa for the southwestern Louisiana Prairie and for the Louisiana salt marshes, and to differentiate prairie from marsh phytoliths.
