History: This award was initiated by the family and friends of Elliott Hagler,
a Geology graduate who was killed in a traffic accident in 2002. It is awarded to the most
deserving Geology Major planning on attending the Department's summer field school.
Responsible Parties: Dr. David Allison, Director of the Department of Earth
Sciences field school determines the winner of this award following GY 360 (Structural
Geology). The Elliott Hagler Award is administered by Dr. Doug Haywick, Scholarhips
Co-ordinator in the Department of Earth Sciences.
