This
is the annual call for USA Faculty Development Council (USAFDC) proposals.
The
purpose of the USAFDC grant is to initiate and
strengthen research programs and to increase
faculty/program
competitiveness for extramural grants. Additionally, USAFDC supports worthy projects for which external
funding is not generally available. Please refer
to the "General Guidelines for USAFDC Grant
Applications" for additional information on what
is acceptable, as well as inappropriate under USAFDC
funding. The application can
be downloaded by clicking here. The General Guidelines for preparing the proposal are available here.
A Letter of Intent to submit an application
is required and is due in the Graduate School, AD 328,
on December 14, 2009. This should include,
"Letter of Intent to Submit USAFDC Proposal,"
name, department, rank, title of proposed research,
and estimated budget request. If support from
department or college is available, indicate the
approximate amount.
The deadline for receiving complete application
packages in the Graduate School Office
is Monday, February 1, 2010. You may submit your proposal as
a Microsoft Word or PDF e-mail attachment.
Applications requiring IRB review will be accepted
pending approval. It is anticipated that awards
will be announced in late March. Award recipients
are expected to present outcomes of USAFDC projects
at a future Annual Research Forum.
Please
contact the graduate school office (6-6310) if you have any questions. |
