Welcome to the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Alabama. Our main office is in room 325 of the Instructional Laboratory Building. We have classrooms and offices on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors.
The Department offers courses that range from those open to all students of the University to more advanced courses. Our academic program is rich and varied, touching upon many areas of mathematics and statistics. The faculty and students form a close and supportive community as we learn and work together.
We have a limited number of math circle graduate assistantships with funding provided by Alabama EPSCoR available for the academic year of 2009-10. Here is a flyer in pdf format about this opportunity.
