Severely damaged homes on Dauphin Island, Alabama, reflect the impact of 80-90 mph gusts and tides of 9-10 feet.

High water and persistent gales caused considerable damage to this condominium at Orange Beach, Alabama.

Tides of 8-9 feet swept across the Dog River area (south of Mobile) causing severe damage to buildings and watercraft.

Numerous homes were flooded in Seminole, Alabama (Baldwin County) after more than 20" of rainfall.

More than 8 feet of water covered the Mobile Bay Causeway.

The highest tides in Mobile in more than 70 years flooded the downtown intersection of Dauphin Street and Water Street.

Flood waters covered Mobile's Water Street and surrounded the new IMAX Theater and Exploreum as Georges slowly made landfall near Biloxi.
