Johnson Beach is how summer is supposed to be. Located just inside of Florida, Johnson Beach is part of the Gulf Island National Seashore. This means that it is a protected and undeveloped beach. There are over 5 miles of unaltered beach to play in. We will arrive at the beach Saturday morning and spend the day hanging out on the sand and playing in the water. Come night we will set up our tent right by the water and be lulled to sleep by the sound of breaking waves.

The best place to watch fireworks on America’s birthday is on the water. So why not do it? Outdoor Adventures will be traveling down to Mobile Bay to make it happen. Every year the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park puts on a spectacular fireworks display and we will have the best seat in the house to watch it on. We will be arriving before the show starts so we can paddle around and enjoy the bay before the sky is lit up with freedom and fireworks. Happy Birthday America!

Blackwater River got its name from the Choctaw tribe that use to navigate its water ways years ago. Now it is part of the Florida Canoe Trail and offers an excellent few days to cool off in the middle of summer. With numerous sandy beaches to camp on, Blackwater River is one of the best overnight paddles in our area. Come with Outdoor Adventures as we have a relaxing paddle down this pristine southern river.
