National Geographic's Xpeditions also provides an interactive learning museum, online activities, and Internet-based lesson plans correlated to the 18 national geography standards.

EDSITEMent is one of seven partner sites featured on Marco Polo: Internet Content for the Classroom. Sections on Art and Culture, Literature and Language Arts, Foreign Language, and History and Social Studies are included. Each section has unit plans and websites for student and teacher use.

EconEdLink is the third of the Marco Polo sites with a Social Studies component. In addition to lesson plans and web links, a section on current events is also featured.
Look here for historical archives in the form of online exhibits including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, a pictoral exhibit of the 20th century, and many more. The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) provides this glimpse into the history of our nation.

An incredibly useful website, 50states.com can help your students answer questions ranging from "What is the state bird of New Mexico?" to "What is the third article of the constitution of Illinois?" There are homework worksheets that can be printed; fact sheets that will assist students in studying for quizzes; and graphics representing every bird, flag, tree... you name it!

Congress for Kids links students of all ages to Internet-based interactive activities that focus on Congress, the federal government, and civic duty.
