III. Retrieval of Library Materials Located at the MCOB Library:

During the Interim, students may need materials retrieved from the MCOB Library shelves. Follow the steps below to request the materials needed:

1. Check SOUTHcat: USA Libraries' Catalog to verify that the material is located at the MCOB Library. Check the item-status on the catalog record to be sure the item is not checked-out by another patron. Is a 2nd copy held by the University Library? If so, please visit the University Library and check out the material there rather than request the material be retrieved from the MCOB Library.

2. Many journal/magazine/newspaper titles are available electronically through Our Journal List. Infrequently, the latest 2 years of a title will only be available in print at the MCOB Library. If this is the case, please have the correct volume/year of the journal/magazine/newspaper and the citation of the article needed when requesting materials.

3. From May 3rd - May 16th, please contact Faye Perryman at 251-460-7028 or by email at fperryman@usouthal.edu, Mon - Fri from 8 am - 4:30 pm, with the title and call number of the materials needed. Before materials are retrieved, she will verify that the materials are available and not currently checked-out. She will also verify your library account. Materials will be retrieved once per day in the afternoon and brought back to the University Library for check-out.

4. From May 19th - May 23rd, please contact the MCOB Library Service Desk at 251-414-8067.
