Dr. Phil Feldman
Associate Dean for
Professional Development
& External Affairs |
The Associate Dean for Professional Development and External Affairs reports to the Dean and is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all research and professional development activities in the college, including: |
| |
| • Office of Professional Development Services |
| |
| Successful institutions realize that the only continuing competitive advantage that an organization has is its personnel. The Office of Professional Development Services supports professional development of faculty within the College and works with local school districts in the delivery of staff development for P-12 educators. |
| |
| • Contracts and Grants |
| |
| For the past five years, the College has been successful in securing external funding, averaging over $3M per year. With that success, the College has emphasized supporting the faculty in its continuing effort to obtain extramural funding through the establishment of the Office of Contracts and Grants. |
| |
• Office of Field Services |
| |
| Field experiences and clinical practices are major elements of all teacher education programs within the College. The Office of Field Services is charged with the responsibility of assisting program faculty in the placement of candidates in clinical field experiences. |
| |
| |
• In addition, the Associate Dean serves as the initial point of contact for external programs and partnerships with other educational agencies. |
