College of Education and Professional Studies Celebrates Spring 2026 Graduates

Approximately 272 students are expected to earn degrees and credentials from the College of Education and Professional Studies this spring, including 171 undergraduate students and 101 graduate students. Graduates were recognized during the University of South Alabama’s Spring 2026 commencement ceremonies held Friday, May 8, at the Mitchell Center.

The ceremony celebrated graduates representing a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including doctoral graduates from the Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Education programs, reflecting the college’s continued growth in advanced graduate education and leadership preparation.

Final degrees will be confirmed by the University in the coming weeks.

  • 151 Bachelor of Science degrees
  • 7 Bachelor of Arts degrees
  • 51 Master of Education degrees
  • 38 Master of Science degrees
  • 7 Doctor of Education degrees
  • 5 Doctor of Philosophy degrees
  • 13 PASSAGE USA credentials

Programs with graduates this spring include Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology, Elementary Education, Interdisciplinary Studies, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Educational Leadership, Sport Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Instructional Design and Development and Organizational Leadership, among others.

Before the 2:30 p.m. commencement ceremony, graduates celebrated alongside family members, faculty, staff and friends during the college’s commencement reception featuring refreshments and fellowship.

“As we celebrate this graduating class, we also celebrate the resilience, determination and purpose that brought each student to this moment,” said Dean Angela T. Barlow. “These graduates are prepared to lead, serve and make an impact in classrooms, organizations, communities and industries across our region and beyond.”

The College of Education and Professional Studies continues to play a vital role in preparing future professionals through innovative academic programs, community partnerships and student-centered learning experiences.
