Welcome, future Jaguars. We hope you find a home at the University of South Alabama. It’s not a small university, but it feels like one. Students take pride in greeting old friends and helping newcomers find their way around campus.
The University is home to more than 14,000 students and more than 115 academic programs. Our 1,200-acre campus has been transformed over the last decade with new academic buildings and athletic facilities, including Hancock Whitney Stadium, where the Jaguar football team plays its home games.
At the core of South's outstanding academic offerings are our 10 schools and colleges, including the Stokes School of Marine and Environmental Sciences, the College of Engineering, the School of Computing and many more. We also have multiple colleges focused on training the next generation of healthcare providers, including the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine, Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions and the College of Nursing.
Campus life includes fraternities, sororities and more than 250 student groups for all interests. We can't wait to see you on campus!
