Prospective Student Programs & New Student Orientation
The Office of New Student Orientation helps new students transition from their previous institution to USA. In addition to registering for classes, students become familiar with the campus and resources available for students at USA.
Orientation registration must be completed online. Only admitted students may register for orientation. Use the left navigation menu to select your status (Freshmen or Transfer, Second Degree, & Adult Freshman) and admit term (Fall, Spring or Summer) to view orientation registration instructions.
All new, incoming, undergraduate students must attend Southbound Orientation for the academic term in which they plan to enroll. This includes:
- Incoming freshman and adult freshman students
- Incoming transfer (including Pathway USA participants) and second bachelor's students
- All incoming undergraduate students that attended orientation for a previous academic term, but did not take classes at South for that term
New students that are not admitted as degree-seeking are not required to attend orientation (i.e. transient, unclassified). Graduate students and professional nursing students (not pre-nursing) will be given directions from the departments for their specialized orientations.
NOTE: Your orientation fee is only valid for the current term and will be re-assessed if you change your enrollment term. All new students will be assessed the orientation fee.
