As the University continues its response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to make sure that our new Jaguar family members remain informed. Our University decided to extend the use of online learning through the May and Summer terms, so our current students did not return to campus for classes this May/Summer.
Therefore, our Fall orientation, scheduled to begin in June, will be served in two parts. The first part will be online for new students and will cover the sessions planned for June and July. The second part will occur August 8-16 in alignment with campus move-in.
This results in an even fuller Orientation, with more content, activities, and ways to learn about South and connect with even more members of our community. And we are excited to be delivering it to you. We will provide further instructions and details as the online Orientation nears.

Our office hosted online parent orientation sessions via Zoom. During these session, we covered a lot of content and answered questions regarding student life on campus; safety and health; academic success and career services; student financial services; housing; counseling services; and so much more.

We hope you found the above video informative and engaging. If you are looking for more information, please feel free to browse our parent handbook below. This includes things to note when sending a child to college and contact information for various departments.
