The 2000 IDD Fun Run & Picnic was sponsored by the IDD Student Group, Mary Ann Robinson, and Dan Surry
Held in Mobile's beautiful Langan Park, the 2000 IDD Fun Run featured an exciting finish in the men's race as Sam Johnson barely out sprinted Michael Sheehan and Tom Chilton down the stretch to win.  The win in the inaugural event established a record time of 15 minutes and 41 seconds.  In the women's race, Brenda Litchfield dominated the field and established a record time of 16 minutes and 31 seconds.  After the run, a large group of IDD students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends enjoyed food, drinks, and fun despite cool temperatures and overcast skies
