Welcome to the Online programs in Educational Administration.

Two options designed to prepare administrators for public and private schools or for positions in post-secondary education are now available on the Internet:

Option 1:
Master of Education with a major in Education Leadership (a non-certification program)

Option 2:
Master of Education with a major in School Leadership leading to Alabama Class A Certification in Instructional Leadership.

The options of these Online programs qualify their graduates to serve as assistant principals, principals, supervisors, and superintendents in K-12 schools throughout Alabama or to seek appointments in post-secondary education.

The Online format offers students the flexibility and convenience of taking graduate courses at home, at the office, or wherever else they have access to the Internet. These programs are designed to provide contact with the professor, interaction with other students, and access to the University Library.

Students can complete most program requirements Online. EDL 513, Instructional Leadership and Curriculum Development, must be taken on campus. The written comprehensive examination must also be taken on campus. EDL 513 will be offered every Summer and, based on student demand, may be offered during other semesters.
