Biographical Information:
An Alabama native, Dr. Kinniburgh spent 17 years as an elementary teacher and two years as a principal in north Alabama. She has been in higher education since 1997. She served on the faculty of Athens State University for four years, and then moved to Boca Raton, Florida. She was a faculty member in elementary education and educational leadership at Lynn University. Dr. Kinniburgh was a trainer for the language development module for the Alabama Reading Initiative, and also served as a trainer for the summer Reading Academies in Palm Beach County in south Florida through Just Read, Florida. She has presented numerous training sessions in all areas of reading and English as a Second Language.
