Mission of the Native American Student Association
The mission of NASA is to create awareness and opportunities to gain knowledge of Native Americans and their culture, as well as to support students of Native American and Alaskan Indian descent. NASA holds social events and promote awareness through relevant activities such as lectures, panel discussions, documentary showings, and so on. NASA is also involved in community service and workings with local Tribes.
News and Upcoming Events
The first meeting of Fall 2018 will be in Humanities Room 112 on September 5, 2018 at 4:00pm. We will be discussing upcoming events and ideas for the school year. We hope to see you there!
The NASA meeting that was originally scheduled for September 5th at 4:00pm will be canceled due to inclement weather and the closing of the university.
The meeting will take place next week. The specific date, time, and location will be announced as soon as possible! Thank you for your cooperation!
The meeting will be Wednesday, September 12th at 4:00pm in Humanities Room 142. We will be talking about events for the coming year and Melea McGhee will be teaching everyone how to make yarn belts!
