| Continuing Medical Education
The Department of Continuing Medical Education (CME) at the University of South Alabama makes it possible for medical professionals to receive credit units required to keep their license current. The goal of the CME program is to provide educational activities intended to improve the knowledge, skills, and clinical proficiency of physicians, and to enrich the quality of health care provided for the citizens and surrounding communities of Alabama.
The program will offer activities that will entail all medical specialties at the University hospitals and clinics, affiliated hospitals and rural area physicians. Other CME activities may include: didactic lectures, enduring materials, grand rounds, patient care reviews, journal clubs and specialty seminars.
With the wide range of activities offered, physicians will be educated on the latest developments in technology and scientific advancements of medicine. Taking part in these activities will allow physicians to provide enhanced patient care to surrounding areas. |
