Early Decision Program (EDP) - Operated by AMCAS, the Early Decision Program guarantees early positions for qualified candidates. Available to residents of Alabama, Mississippi Gulf Coast and Northwest Florida.

Early Acceptance Program (EAP) - For qualified high school graduates interested in a career in medicine. Participant must maintain a specific grade-point average during college and meet all other requirements for entering medical school at the University of South Alabama. Advanced Standing Transfers - The College of Medicine accepts limited number of transfer applications for admission to the second or third year class. Application is to be made to the Admission officer after January 1st each year.
