The Medical
Alumni Association is dedicated to creating and maintaining
a beneficial relationship between graduate physicians
and the College of Medicine. Since 1976, the University
of South Alabama College of Medicine has graduated over
2,051 physicians. We promote the professional advancement
of our membership and support student activities that
enhance medical education. Our goal is to increase participation
in alumni activities from our perpetually growing membership.
The collective energy and support of our graduates make
our achievements possible.

Gumbo Chili Cook-off
March 6, 2010
The 2010 Gumbo Chili Showdown is scheduled for March 6, 2010 on campus at the Mitchell Center. The event was created last year by USA medical students to benefit the Reagan Robinson Young Memorial Scholarship Fund. Reagan was a student when diagnosed with advanced colon cancer, while coping with chemotherapy, she continued her education using her own personal experiences to help others. Her zest for life and empathetic spirit was an inspiration for both her classmates and faculty. The scholarship provides assistance to a rising senior who embodies Reagan’s character and courage.
