Food, music, games...it is always a lot of fun. It is a wonderful opportunity to see our faculty in a setting other than the third floor of the Humanities Building. Some of them dance really well!

There is usually a piñata for the children and dancing for those who love salsa and merengue! You can see on the picture on the left that Dr. Pérez-Pineda and Dr. McCready are really good dancers!

If you are interested in joining us for the picnic, tickets can be purchased in the Foreign Languages and Literatures Deptartment around the first week of April.

At the picnic the Department hosts an informal Awards Ceremony where we recognize the recipients of the departmental scholarships as well as outstanding students at different levels. This year the awards were as follows:
