Announcements
President
Proctor- We didn’t have 25 people sign up for BayBears’ Night so we
decided just to encourage you all to attend the Jimmy Buffett Benefit Concert
that will be on the west end of Gulf Shores on July 1st. They will
be taking donations at the door to help with oil relief. Tickets go on sale
Wednesday. Jimmy Buffett will be there as well as Kenny Chesney and the Zac
Brown Band. We are encouraging everyone to go.
Vice
President Al-Greene- We still need a couple of people to
sign up to work the table at orientation on Monday.
Senator
Sells- Along with that, orientation will be on Monday and Tuesday.
Feel free to go to your respective departments on Tuesday at 1:00 to help
students register for their classes. This is a great way to get SGA’s faces out
there to new students.
Treasurer
Baldwin- Thank you, tonight ran very efficiently. I’m very proud of
you.
Senator
Perry-Thank you everyone who came to the budget discussion
meeting last week. Only several of you came. We will need more people to attend
this meeting in the fall unless you want a 4 hour meeting like last year.
Please be more proactive!
Dean
Mitchell- I have two things. There was some discussion about the
Saturday exam schedule. I’m inviting someone from the Registrar’s office to
come and explain and discuss that with you. She should be coming to the July 12th
meeting. Also, we had someone who was supposed to come and sit in the student
forum tonight to discuss the JagTran service for the summer. We have students
who are having to walk back and forth from the Grove to class. This student
does not have a car. The student didn’t come tonight. If you have any concerns
about that, give them to Kim. She will be meeting with the JagTran people in
the next few days.
Senator
Youngblood- Funday
Monday-Ollies right after the meeting!
Senator
Sells- Thank you senate for putting on the Spirit Session!
Senator
Jones- After the SGA meeting next week we will have a brief
meeting for those interested in going on the college tour.
