Subject searching must follow a standard list of headings.  Example:  French literature
A person may be a subject.  Example:  gide andre   Use the last name first.  Keyword searching may also be done, with or without Boolean.  Don’t  use punctuation; capitalization is unnecessary.

SOUTHcat  Catalog Search Examples

Careful with  romance language surnames.  For example, it is garcia marquez gabriel  NOT
marquez gabriel garcia.  Double surnames aren’t always hyphenated.  Experiment with the order
of the names when searching by author or subject (person).
