IMC Mission
The
mission of the Instructional Media Center is to provide faculty,
staff and students access to
multi-media and print materials to meet their instructional, research
and learning needs.
The IMC provides a variety of media that can assist USA community members
in developing instruction, presentations, or completing assignments.
The IMC carries a vast array of videos and DVDs. These include educational
videos, documentaries, series and feature films. In addition to videos,
the IMC houses a selection of musical works on CDs, and CD-ROMs that
accompany print based books.
The IMC also houses the Program for the Enhancement of Teaching and
Learning, (PETAL). This program is designed to promote quality instruction
across the curriculum through the use of sound instructional principles.
The IMC also manages two meeting rooms
and the library auditorium.
University organizations and the public can reserve these areas for
presentations, meetings, workshops, and video conferences.
The IMC provides preview rooms for reviewing materials as well as two
group study rooms with internet hook up. Internet hook-ups can be found
on the four study tables located next to the windows of the IMC.
